In 1987, Carmaig De Forest released his first album I Shall Be Released produced by Alex Chilton, recently released on CD for the first time by Omnivore Recordings.

Back in the day, Carmaig was a staple on the Bay Area music scene often opening for the likes of the Ramones, the Violent Femmes, the band X (John Doe sings his praises inside Omnivore's CD booklet) and the Gang of Four with his ukulele as his only accompaniment.

Carmaig, enjoying a second act as a stay-at-home parent in Seattle, has not played a full Portland show in 20 years. The Saturday April 27 show at Dante's is a CD release party for the Omnivore reissue I Shall Be Re-Released. Carmaig will play some solo ukulele selections and with an all-star band featuring members of Young Fresh Fellows and Mudhoney.

Swamp soul from Arkansas on tour in support of the new LP, "It Took the Shape of a Bird" (Last Chance Records), which was named to Pop Matters' "Top 20 Americana Albums of 2018." On the road full time since the release of his solo debut in 2007, Faucett has played with a diverse array of artists ranging from Dead Meadow to Ray Wylie Hubbard and provided international and national tour support for Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music) King Buzzo (Melvins), Pallbearer and The Bottle Rockets. During that time he's continued evolving a sound the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette calls “part folk, part blues, part elemental rock stomp, part unidentifiable cosmic holler.” Or Slow'n Loud, as he puts it.

Aix is a 4-piece psychedelic, surf dirge that has been mesmerizing audiences since 2018. Based in Portland, Oregon, the group blends haunting melodies with heavy reverb, 60’s guitar tones and gritty Farfisa realness.

Lo-fi country/spaceneck folk from Arkansas. Blackart is also supporting a new record. "Return," a collaboration with Faucett, was called "a showcase for Blackart's powerful, rough-hewn poetry and spare, country-folk meditations," by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, while There Stands The Glass described the album as "hardscrabble roots-rock, a supplemental soundtrack to the Netflix series, 'Ozark.'

Zepparella explores their own improvised magic within the framework of Zeppelin's mighty songs.

For five years, the Zeppelin love has washed in waves out of the doors of the venues. Initial skeptics have been quickly converted. Followers recount the number of shows they've seen, and the regulars notch 40, 50, over 100 shows on their belts, traveling between states to see the shows.
