Aterciopelados is a current and contradictory band. After many cosmic moments, in 2018 the stars are aligned so that their trajectory has a Big Bang, a hinge event, a reconnection, a step to a higher plane, it's time for you to forget our past and listen to us; let yourself be surprised by something new, vital, calm and enraged, constructive and conscious and at the same time irreverent crisis.
All this has been cooking something like 28 years, with love stories of Corin Tellado's novel, rockstar dizziness, artivismos & other adventures and the construction of two complete artists, alone or accompanied: Connector and Ruisema, Hector and Andrea. Two characters diametrically united by their differences, '' high voltage dynamic duo - although our luggage is different - we will not stop creating ''.
Forget the Grammys, the New York Times lists, the MTV awards, the city of fury ... and feel the impact of our new songs, fresh and decanted, aged and fermented. Two characters, man and woman, with their stories, their struggles, their visions, their lights and their shadows.

Aterciopelados released his most recent album `Claroscura' in 2018, which won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album and was nominated in the Best Latin Rock / Alternative & Urban Album category at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
They continue with their Claroscura 2019 Tour.

The Doubleclicks are a folk-pop music duo made up of siblings Laser and Aubrey. At this show, the siblings will perform songs geeky, snarky, sweet, and uplifting, on their cello, ukulele and meowing cat keyboard. The latest Doubleclicks album, "the Book Was Better" has songs about video games, gender identity, and trying to get away from the Internet. The Doubleclicks songs are for everybody, and tend to be appreciated by nerds, queer folks, kids and rad folks who helped fund the production of their new album on Kickstarter, and have made three of their previous albums Billboard-charting successes. The Doubleclicks have been played on NPR shows like All Things Acoustic, and featured on BoingBoing, io9 and Geek & Sundry, and the Huffington Post. The Doubleclicks have opened for nerd stars like Jonathan Coulton and Wil Wheaton, performed at dozens of conventions, libraries, colleges, comedy clubs and game stores around the US, Australia and Canada, and released more than 70 music videos on YouTube, where they have 16,000 subscribers and 3 million views.

The PDX Broadsides, a Portland OR pop-folk trio, have been playing music together since 2011, and have become known for their harmonies and clever writing. The Broadsides have played around the country at conventions including Dragon Con, Rose City Comic Con, and GameStorm, or you may have seen them play in shows with The Doubleclicks, Marian Call, or Molly Lewis. They are a PhD, an author, and a comic book nerd, and have received two nominations for the Pegasus Awards for Excellence in Filk.

MEGATHRUSTER is two geeks in Oregon, armed with acoustic guitars to bring their special blend of funny nerd rock to the masses. Described as "Tenacious D meets Jonathan Coulton", the duo have taken their funny and energetic stage show to pop-culture conventions and festivals across the united states. Their wands are at the ready...

When LA Weekly said that Ran's "fan base and niche audiences are growing at a rate not seen since Tech N9ne," they meant it. A former teacher, Mega Ran (formerly Random) blends education, hip-hop and gaming in amazing new ways, penetrating the farthest reaches of the galaxy with his unique rhyme style and elecric performances.
The first ever rap artist to be licensed by a major game developer (CAPCOM), Ran takes the old and makes it new through his unique form of music he calls "Chip-Hop."
Arguably the world's most well known video-game influenced performance artist, Mega Ran's high-energy shows and fun, nerdy persona have led to speaking engagements, world tours, tons of convention and festival performances, and a legion of smart fans, patiently awaiting his next move.

Sponge has proven to be one of the Motor City's heaviest hitters after gaining international notoriety with their debut album "Rotting Piñata" (Sony). Emerging from Detroit with hits like "Plowed" and "Molly (16 Candles)" Sponge received massive airplay on radio stations from coast to coast and were in heavy rotation on MTV. Both "Plowed" and "Molly" hit #5 on Billboard's Modern Rock Charts, catapulting "Rotting Piñata" to Gold, and ultimately Platinum status.

Sponge's follow up CD, the critically lauded "Wax Ecstatic" (Columbia) scored additional top ten Billboard hits including "Wax Ecstatic" and "Have You Seen Mary?" The band's music was also featured in popular movies "The Craft," "Chasing Amy," "Mall Rats" and "Empire Records." Sponge's star continued to rise with network appearances on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and the "Conan O'Brien Show."

Sponge's subsequent releases "New Pop Sunday," "For All The Drugs in The World," "The Man," "Galore Galore," and "Destroy the Boy," showcased the band's swirling sonic attack, rooted in 70's glam and of course, the Motor City influences of The Stooges, The MC5 and Motown-but still sounding distinctly like no one else.

"Plowed" continues to be the band's signature rock track, having been spotlighted on Guitar Hero's "Warriors of Rock - 90's Rock Track Pack" - and on the Paper Jamz Guitar Series 2, in addition to the soundtrack for the Gerard Butler surf movie "Chasing Mavericks."
